  • Reno Fire is proud to announce the launch of PulsePoint. This free mobile app alerts citizens trained in CPR when someone near by is in need of help. Anyone with a smartphone can download the free  through the Google Play and Apple stores. Once the app is installed, select the agency (in this case “Reno Fire”) serving the area where you live or work to receive alerts.
  • RFD recently tested new sensor technology from SimpleSense that enables firefighters to find people faster in an emergency.

Cá rồng được chuộcAs the seasons change, northern Nevada is still prime for fire danger due to our dry vegetation. Please continue to be fire aware and take precautions when enjoying outdoor activities.

Burning Information

Burn permits are required when open burning is allowed.  A valid Burn Permit Request Form must be submitted to Reno Fire via email to RFDRequests@reno.govCá rồng được chuộc.  If you live in Washoe County but outside the Reno City limits please call 775-326-6000 to speak with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District.

Clear Air

Many residents like to take advantage of using a wood stove or fireplace to burn wood or pellets to help heat their homes. Did you know that there is a Burn Code determined each day by the Washoe County Health Department based on our current air quality that tells us if we are allowed to burn?
